Sadie the 2nd, Border Collie/Beagle. Adoptable!
Meet Patti Cake!
Patti Cake is a tiny Shepherd / Retriever mix.  She is about 2 years old and weighs 43 perfect lbs.  She checked into Camp after Commander Chaos rescued her from the streets of Nashville at 12 weeks old on May 22nd, 2008.  She was the last of her litter rescued from under a barn after being born to a feral mama dog.  Patti Cake has turned a corner with enjoying her 2-legged family members as much as her 4-legged ones!  She comes to be petted when we squat or sit (not standing, in other words).  She gets excited when it's time's for the evening walk & sits patiently by the door while everyone gets leashed.  PC is still learning the art of walking beside us and not being spastic with her path.  But her tail is up and she is curious, therefore Patti Cake is doing great!

Patti Cake has lost one of her weight-bearing digits on her back paw.  She walks with a little limp, but it has gotten better so that you can barely tell.  She can still jump on our bed, dig a hole, & run like the wind.

Patti Cake is a loving dog, coming to us to lick our fingers and smell our hands and take treats from us. We have gained her trust by doing things like leashing her--she comes to her kennel on command--and then sitting with her for TV time & brushing.  She loves to play catch in the backyard! Granted, she doesn't bring the ball back, but it gives me exercise to walk around and pick up the balls after she drops them.

When walking her, we use a sprenger pinch collar on her.  It helps her stay focused & under control on the walk, however noises (cars, barking dogs, walkers) will make her anxious, but she will continue to walk.  Sitting and relaxing on the porch first and then the sidewalk with steak as a reward has helped her.

If you are looking for a submissive yet playful, energetic, and outgoing buddy for you (and your own dog), Patti Cake may be the girl for you.  She is an excellent sister to all of our pups, every day, all day.  She will chase and run and loves to be chased while she's on the run.  After she is caught, she will chew at the others from the bottom of a pile of puppies and wiggle her way to the top where she just might end up on top!  She is a very committed & devoted companion for people, too, and Patti Cake will continue to grow with training, time, & love.  All in all, Patti Cake is a sweet and soulful little girl, born on the rough streets and then raised without proper one-on-one attention.  Her lack of confidence and social skills stems from these negatives, but she positively is a wonderful baby, looking for a family to give her the time and attention she craves.

She sleeps in a kennel at night and doesn't have accidents indoors.  Patti Cake prefers being kenneled when left alone just to be comfortable & safe in her mansion.   She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations, bordetella, and rabies.  Patti Cake is current on flea/tick preventatives as well as heartworm preventatives.  She is microchipped by Avid.

Patti Cake's adoption fee is $90.

Meet Willa!
Willa is being adopted!  Her new name is Kali for the Hindu goddess of destruction!
Willa is a social and loving little retriever/shepherd girl who wants to have a 2-legged companion of her very own.  Quick to sit for love and rollover on her back to get her belly rubbed, Willa wins the hearts of all who meet her.  She follows us everywhere, in between going outside to potty on her own (thanks to a doggie door) and chewing on a Nylabone.  She is crate trained and doesn’t have accidents indoors as long as she is kept on a potty schedule.

Our little girl also goes by “Puppet,” a nickname given to her when she arrived.  There is constant butt-wagging at thanks to Willa’s presence.  She is about 15 weeks old (as of June 15th).  She weighs a 25 lbs.   We expect Willa to be 50-60 lb when he's fully grown, but we've been known to be wrong & dogs be smaller/bigger than ours & the vets best guess.
She has a fluffy & soft black coat with tan on her face, feet, & chest.  The tan on her chest is in the shape of a seagull.  She has a very happy face & smiles at us every time we say her name.  When scolded, Willa will stop and sit and look pitiful as if she is very sorry for what she did wrong.  Her aim is to please her people!  Willa, in short, is a wonderful companion that has lots of love to give and will bring some lucky person years of happiness.

Willa loves the other dogs and is constantly playing with them.  She enjoys chewing on our foster pup Clemenza's cheeks, legs, as well as being chewed on herself.  A game of chase is welcomed anytime if Willa’s around.  She will quickly put her head down, her butt up, and then is ready to give the other dogs a run for their money as they fly around the backyard.  She also enjoys a good dig in the dirt.  We suggest her new family have a puppy fort, as we like to call it, if she will be left in the backyard unsupervised at this age.
The Giggly Treat Balls are a favorite smart toy for Willa; she’ll push the ball all over the house to make the kibble fall out so she can enjoy the yummy treats.  When finished playing, our Puppet will share the quiet moment with us if we invite her on the sofa or in the doggie cot.

She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, wormer, and Frontline.  Her adoption fee is $90.

 Meet Clemenza!
Clemenza is going to doggie school!  He will be learning the 5 basic commands & getting lots of love & attention!  We continue to review applications for him while he's away from Camp.  Please feel free to email if you are interested in adopting Clem!

Clemenza is a beautiful blue & fawn brindle Petite Pit Bull who is about 2 years old (best guess, maybe little younger).  He weighs 45 lbs.

He spends his free time romping and playing with the pups, plus he loves hanging out and chewing on a Nylabone.  Clem loves the Nylabones and will take them from the toy box, chewing on one for a little while before going back to the toy box for the next one.  By the end of the night, he will have all of them scattered around the living room.

Afternoons are his favorite time of day since that's when we go for our walks.  He loves getting leashed up and going for a stroll through the neighborhood and the park.

When not walking or playing or chewing, Clemenza likes to bask in the sun.  He's independent enough to go outside on his own (courtesy of a doggie door, that is) and snore the afternoon away.  He is very eager to please us and loves to be with the humans.  If there's room on the sofa and his jaws are tired of chewing, he likes to snuggle up beside us with his head in our lap.  It's the perfect time to feel of his velvety soft snout, soft as a horse's nose, I tell you.
Clem will make a great pet for someone looking for an only child as well as making a great brother.  His foster sister Laney & he are great pair if you are wanting to adopt two pups.  I mean, everyone knows that one dog is work and two dogs are entertainment, right?  He warms up to new people quickly, especially if they have treats for him.  Treats always are welcomed!

Clemenza sleeps in the guest house, aka a medium-size wire kennel at Camp.  He doesn't mind being kenneled when we're at work either.  When it's time to be set free, he shows off his Happy Feet.  Instead of singing for his supper, Clem tapdances to be set free!  It's a highlight of my own day to get to see him doing his happy dance every morning and every evening.

Clemenza is neutered & current on his vaccinations.  He has been treated for heartworms by our fabulous vets at VCA Animal Care Center of Mt. Juliet.  The last of 3 rounds of treatment was done May 21st.  He is housetrained and well behaved indoors.

Clemenza's adoption fee is $90.
Meet Fortune!

WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE RESCUE FORTUNE?  LIVING IN AN OUTDOOR KENNEL BEATS THE STREETS, BUT LIVING INDOORS WITH DAILY WALKS & CUDDLE TIME IS BETTER!

Fortune is a juvenile pitty mix, perhaps American Staffordshire Terrier, perhaps American Pit Bull Terrier.  He is about 13 months old and weighs 50-60 lbs.  He is a gorgeous white and butterscotch boy with deep & soulful eyes we can get lost in.

Fortune has been around cats and didn't pay much attention tot hem, but dogs are a different story.  He is very dog friendly & loves his foster brothers & sisters, including a 2-legged foster sister!  He is a very playful boy & has learned how to sit for treats.  Fortune is housetrained!  His foster mom gushes over this boy who is as sweet as he is good.  If you are looking for a new best friend for your family, Fortune is your boy!  He is eager to please and quick to kiss.  He enjoys car rides and being shown off for the regular leash-walk.

This wonderful and appreciative and loving boy is currently in Chattanooga but he can come to Nashville to be yours!  All it takes is an approved application and home visit.  Fortune won't let you down in showing you what a great companion he is.

Fortune is current on his vaccinations, neutered, and heartworm negative.  He is current on heartworm & flea/tick preventatives.

Fortune's adoption fee is $90.
